Bilic Board meeting determines he's the man - sacked
Before this gets locked how is it unreasonable to have, on a West Ham forum a discussion about the manager in charge when we have many, many threads about players who are contracted to us. There will always be fans for and fans against an individual and a forum is a place to air those opinions, whether positive or negative, it is the very nature of a forum. The fact it was locked was poor form in my opinion.

Whilst it will be easy for some posters to say "all this after 1 loss to Man U" they are forgetting the percentage of fans that have been saying Bilic is not up to the job midway through last season, nothing has changed.

We now have the players but whilst we have that incompetent friendly friendly chap at the helm we will do well to finish 12th this season.

Make sure you make a note of this as anything better if he is in charge come the end of the season will be an absolute miracle, he is out of his depth, clueless tactically and should of been replaced in the summer.

I said it 4 months ago and I will say it again, the biggest mistake we will of made in the summer was not replacing Bilic.

Now if people have different view and opinions that is perfectly normal and I would hope this is something that is able to be discussed on a West Ham forum.

Slav gave us a great 1st season so he fully justified his appointment.

Last season was not so good and even though we picked up and beat Spurs to stay up, the 4 nil loss at home to Liverpool on the last home game of the season where the players took a lap of honour in front of about 300 people would of suggested we hadn't really turned a corner.

Slaven's joking around and long chats with Mourinho on the touch line instead of giving the players a kick up the ass when we were being outclassed at Old Trafford was a sign of things to come and the results and performances against Newcastle and Brighton were up there with the worst performances I have ever seen at the club and that is saying something!

The appointment of a manager... well there is the human part, ability to make good relationships but understand the psychological side of different players ( the old carrot or stick choice) but to me surely looking for a man that has been at different clubs in different cultures/countries (since players are from everywhere) that has improved or got decent win percentages in the majority of them. Silva at Watford was the man that we should have got in the summer. Ok he lost yesterday but they were a tad unfortunate and with a bunch of largely unknown players are doing very well and will continue to so I reckon?

A Google search by Sullivan would answer some of it but then an interview but the person interviewing has to understand what is needed... Sullivan does not its clear,,,,, The final piece is the "money". You have to pay it to get the geezer unless we can uncover another Silva type?

in fairness, Sold0, he probably was the wrong man to lead us to the cesspit. Made it very clear in his first season that he wasn't keen.

Northern give me a spade and I will dig Cloughie up, rtaher than have Moyes at them helm.

Not to say Slaven shouldnt have been sacked, it was probably the right move, but only if we have the right replacememt. Moyes is not that. I am truly gutted.

I would have replaced BFS with a better Manager. We didn’t. We’ve now actually gone backwards.

Slaven Bilic the man will always have my and I suspect most fans respect. Its a crying shame that he was not equipped to handle the basket case that is West Ham. Perhaps no one is.... but we shall see soon enough.

Sullivan needs to step back and oversee employing a proper manager or DOF who he respects and someone to transform the whole playing side. Until that happens we will continue to struggle regardless I suspect.

This is the root cause. Happens in all business sectors and industries. People who get promoted or get some success or have a need to feel important or an appetite for power to compensate for a fragile self image, they cannot understand their limitations or the need to work through others,

Sullivan has no professional background in football. He is a dildo salesmen who hit the big time financially. He cannot be the brightest man if he cannot see his limitations.... ( oh hang on, I just answered my own question).

Just seen his interview on sky sports, the man has a lot of dignity,a very nice man unfortunately he couldn't get the players playing, and they need to look at themselves and give themselves a kick up the ass.

Put money on it that Slav goes to another club and does well.

A lot of people harp back to Moyes time at Everton.

He’s had THREE jobs since then, and been shit in all of them. Don’t they count?

With so little time left on his contract I really hope that there is no financial imperitive in Slav staying quiet - lift the lid on those false promoses we know of and a few we do not Slav son

The only salvation I can come up with is that if it is Moyes at least this bunch of pretenders will become fitter.
Everton under Moyes was always one of our hardest games they were always up in your face.

Re: Bilic Board meeting determines he's the man - sacked
Slav sadly had no answers on how to manage a bunch of fucking retards, but he was still the only cunt left at the club I had any time for.
His departure changes fuck all, we still have 2 tacky, amateurish dildo sellers and a rancid stank running this football club into the dirt.

Sir Alf 1:32 Mon Nov 6
Re: Bilic Board meeting determines he's the man - sacked
As others have mentioned, it is as much about the supporting coaching team as the manager. It depends on the level to which the manager is "hands on" or involved in the detail (training, tactics, fitness, player development) of course,

I always got the impression Bilic left the detail to the little scruffy guy on the bench in terms of tactical adjustments and substitutions. What about the day to day. Was Bilic involved in setting the detailed requirements? I highly doubt it so the team any new man brings in will also be key.

Silva ( yeah I know they surrendered a 3 goal lead yesterday) at Watford supposedly is involved in everything. Same as Conte etc.

We need someone that has a vision and system and can implement it from the ground up. Ultimately it will probably mean new players in some positions but starting from day 1 implementing a system. explaining roles, getting fitness up to scratch, working out who will be prepared and equipped to play in each role. It does not happen overnight but we need someone who has the understanding from top to bottom. On top of all that , this person has to understand human psychology and how to get the best from people.

Simples ;-)

Hiddink for me. Pay the dosh. He has the best rack record and would come for the right money if only temporarily ? But he would establish foundations and then the trick is to get someone else in to continue them.

Southampton manage it with far less resources than us. It can be done but the owners are the problem. They don't know what they don't know, have huge psychological issues ( small man syndrome Sullivan) and hence interfere. Sullivan's "mea culpa " has to be the realisation that he has to hand over to people who know what they are doing on the football side and that he is not qualified. This is the root of all the problems now.
